                                                JAC against Anti-Tribal Bills

The Joint Action Committee Against Anti-Tribal Bills (JAC) would like to humbly request the cooperation of the general public in its call for Total Shutdown of all tribal territories of Manipur starting from the midnight of May 16, 2016 till the midnight of May 18, 2016 in protest against the decision of the "All Political Parties Meeting" to depute a team of politicians to urge the Union Government to give assent to the three unconstitutional anti-tribal bills by the Manipur State Assembly on August 31, 2015.

In the interest of the general public, the following services and activities are exempted from the Total Shutdown: medical services including medical emergencies and check-ups, water supply, media houses, postal service, telecom, electricity, airport pickup and drop, ongoing exams (both students and teachers/invigilators), marriage ceremonies and pre-planned conferences.
