This
day
356 days ago all tribals in Manipur become united. This is the first time in
the history of Manipur that all tribals become United since immorial. It was on
31st August 2016, the Manipur legislative assembly passed three
bills : On 31st August 2015, Manipur Assembly
passed three Bills - The Protection of Manipur People Bill, 2015, The Manipur
Land Revenue and Land Reforms (seventh Amendment) Bill, 2015 and The Manipur
Shops and Establishment (Second Amendment) Bill, 2015, which is against the
Indian constitution and the interest of Outer Manipur Tribals. These three
bills, if becomes an act is going to affect land rights of the tribals and
tribals will become outsiders in their ancestral land.
On
That very day Manipur police forces shot and killed 9 tribal (including a 9
year old child) who protest against the passing of 3 Bills passed in the
Manipur State Assembly. Dead bodies of 9 tribals still await their last rites in the
District Hospital Morgue, Lamka. It is now 365 days of unrest for Outer Manipur tribals protesting against the three
Bills and demanding justice for the tribals still going on. Traditionally
tribals never leave their dead bodies unburied but the case is different this
time.
The
law makers of Manipur including the tribals MLA never back off from their
stands and still try to fool people by saying that the bilss are not against
any citizen of Manipur and the tribals. Till now the Tribals MLA did not want
to admit that they did not do the wrong in passing and supporting the Bills in
the House. Later, the Bills is rejected by the head of constitution, i.e the
President of India. This has the answer to all Manipur MLAs.
This
three bills can be termed as an indirect speech, voicing the minority Manipur
tribals, to leave Manipur; go as refugee in our neighbouring states, we want
your land and property. How selfish and greedy they are? Not all of them but those
who draft and passed the bills to make it as a law. Think, how can an
International forum who resides in others country draft a laws for their own
states and their own people? How can we accept it? Most of their scholars did
not even agree with the bills. Also, there might be a huge number among them
who blindly supported the bills,
influence by peers and leaders like
Manipur MLAs.
“United
we stand” a slogan of all the Manipur tribals are an alarming slogan for the
valley and politicians. There is a maximum effort attempted by various
politicians and leaders through monetary powers to deceive people so as to
disunite the United Tribals. They might fooled the fools but not all tribals
are fool. Politician are the real cause of our looted society. They are the
main problems in our society. They are the drivers and we are the sleepy
passengers. When the road is tough we wake up and did not bother when the road
is smooth.
The
Tribals of Outer Manipur are minorities, discriminated, exploited by the
majority Valley people in the state. The only solution to this is the Central
and the State government should implement 6th Scheduled immediately in the hill
districts/ Outer Manipur. Only then the last rites of 9 Tribal Martyr's body
will be perform and normal live will begin in the state.
